This months was on a Wed (tomorrow) I will schedule the next one on a Monday. I really only have Monday and Wednesdays available at this time. I"m traveling a lot more for work so that blocks whole weeks at a time. (Good knitting in hotel rooms though : ) . I hope you all can make this one. I hope the weather is better... see ya.

    Chili with Chocolate

    3 – 3 ½ pounds ground turkey
    1 tsp salt
1 package of onion soup mix
2 TBL chili powder( I like Aleppo )
    2 TBL ground cumin
    1 tbl. Mexican oregano (epazote)
    1 tsp black pepper
    2 TBL cocoa (Chocolate ground)
    2 – cans kidney beans
    2-cans of black beans
    12 oz tomato paste
    16 oz tomato sauce
16 oz cola (regular or diet)(I use Root Beer)
    1 onion chopped

Saute the onion til glassy. Add the turkey and brown.

Add the spices and soup mix. Stir well. Add rest of ingredients and cook on low for 30 min.

Top with shredded cheddar cheese or manchego cheese (my favorite on chili), sour cream, corn chips, oyster crackers, and/or chopped onions, by itself or over rice or spaghetti.

I feel that I must play catch up. Am I the only beginner? I am encouraged by all of the advanced projects that I see. I will take new ones to Costa Rica since I will have 7 hours on the plane and lots of free time while relaxing. I want to go to the yarn factory to look around.

So looks like for tomorrow we will have chili - thanks Loyce... and since we have so many attending I'll have fish tacos as well. If you want to bring anything great... if not just bring a drink for yourself. I have food available since this is right after work for some and traffic makes it a bit dicey to get home and then here. Hope everyone can make it see you then.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
