Sunday Charity Knit

OUTDOOR KNITTING in Queen Elisabeth Park!

Seems like the weather will be good enough for us to meet up outside.

This is how to find us:

When you enter QE Park from Cambie and 30th Ave take a left turn at the intersection (direction: Four Seasons restaurant) then there is the picnic area coming up on the left side. You are too far if you see the Duck Pond on the right.

If you are coming with the Skytrain, walk up on Cambie to 29th Avenue. From the south-east corner of the intersection you can cut across the lawn to the picnic area (approx. 45 degree angle from the major streets). The picnic area is on the park side of the naturesque pond.

Everybody who RSVPs "Yes" by Saturday night will receive my cell number by email, just in case.

Bring some knitting needles, crochet hooks and spare yarn if you have any.
Our goal is to make beautiful items for the Ladies on the Downtown Eastside. A lot of these folks are affected by prostitution and/ or poverty. We want to show the exploited that they are valuable and priceless to us.
You can pick any pattern or we have some inspiration and a limited supply of yarn.
Donations of already finished items and yarn are also very welcome.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
