When I was very young, I often visited my uncle who was married to a Japanese woman. She passed the time by speaking to me in Japanese. After their divorce, I didn't encounter Japanese until nearly two decades later when I'd heard she had passed away. I'd like to visit her family shrine, but first I'd like to better know the language she shared with me.
Discounting the time with my aunt, I'd estimate two years off and on.
I've planned to visit Tokyo this time next year.
Language partners, friends, enemies.
A short bio.
