This course examines the history of the English language, how English developed from French and German, and the roots of American English. Then, participants learn and practice modern research skills while evaluating contemporary sources of information. Brief presentations, discussions and group work are utilized to practice interpersonal and group communication skills. A syllabus and topical outline are available on request.
Classes are conducted every Thursday, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm), and should last twelve weeks, barring any holidays. The course is free, but there is a registration fee of $30, which covers the facility and material development.
