Join us to welcome Yearn Hong Choi, founding president of the Korean Poets Group and the Korean Poets and Writers Group in the Washington Area, for a reading and discussion about the Korean poetry tradition and its impact on Korean American poets published in the recent compilation, "I am Homeland." Choi will discuss how the culture of poetry has affected Korean American life and how works reflect the diverse experiences of Korean immigrants in the United States.

"I am Homeland" is Choi's third anthology and features 120 works by 12 senior Korean-American poets. While English is their second language, their backgrounds represent the diversity of Korean-American life, including doctors, diplomats, and even Buddhist monks.
