Fiesta Asia Street Festival in DC

9th annual Fiesta Asia Street Festival

This is a HUGE (well, really big) event in DC that takes up several streets.  They have lots of food and other cultural features.  We've gone many times, and it is fun (sun or not).

Main Event Site: http://www.asiaheritagefoundation.org/

Event details from the Asia Heritage Foundation site is the best way to find out the latest schedule.

Fiesta Asia Street Fair activities include outdoor craft exhibits, live performances, food and open market vendors, interactive displays, martial arts demonstration, talent show, cooking demo, dancing and more!

This event is Metro Accessible (Archives/Navy Yellow/Green lines).

Note: the event takes place along several blocks, so the location listed on meetup is only one possible meeting place.

We will not have one "meeting place" due to this type of event.  Members should RSVP and post comments as to when they are going (it starts before noon).  Some members have volunteered in the past, and may be easier to find to say hello.

It was good, I went there to see CHIN HAMAYA, I like that music and also the show, but I think that their performance was at the other side, I was in the scenary close to the congress, or maybe I came to late (4 pm). For next time it could be good a list of events for every scenary on the website in order to know where every show will be presented, and an orientative time (like morning, evening). The website of the event: http://asiaheritagefoundation.org/

Here if you want to know about them: http://www.chinhamaya.org/

It's not too late to volunteer - it's a great way to help out, and to meet others who are volunteers. I've heard they need more afternoon volunteers. Check it out - http://asiaheritagefoundation.org/participate/volunteer/
