광복절 Korean Independence Day Celebration

What:  Korean Independence Day Celebration on
Where:  Ossian Hall Park
When:  Saturday, August 9th, 6:00-9:00 pm

Please join us this Saturday for a celebration of 광복절 (Gwangbokjeol or Korean Independence Day).  The holiday is officially on August 15th.

We don't have a lot of details on this year's program, but last year's event featured Korean Traditional folk music and dance performances, face painting, and a variety Korean traditional dress wearing experiences.  Best of all, there was free bulgogi tacos, kimchi burgers, luxury kimbap.

Also, please contact Tina if you are interested in volunteering at the event!

**UPDATE #2**

We have enough volunteers for this event, but we will have more opportunities soon. Thank you!!! - Tina

**UPDATE**

We need volunteers to help set up a tent, hand out Festival fliers, and then help break down the tent. We will meet at 4:30 pm at the park to set up the tent. I anticipate needing to stay an extra hour after the end of the Celebration to break down the tent, about 10:00 pm. Also, dinner will be provided.
If you are interested in helping out for the whole event please email me. Thank you!

Tina

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
