Hello! Annyong haseyo?! Hope everyone is having a nice spring weekend. The cherry blossoms are coming out in DC, slowly.
Tomorrow afternoon's event is set to have YTN news there (more about YTN), as our story will be part of news coverage in South Korea. And, we will be having our "speed exchange" language time again... it was very successful last week. Our "Speed Relating" time is a fun way to focus on learning with a small group, and to meet & interact with many people attending. Join us at the Free Weekly Korean Language Lesson 스터디 모임 & Culture Exchange event at 3:30pm.
And last week we had some "flying members" thanks to our special photography... see photo below and more pics here:
Events & notifications: We have so many events, and we want to make it easier for you to know what is going on. (You can also turn off reminder notifications here on your Korean Waves meetup account to reduce the number of emails you get!).
Upcoming events in the next week:
We also may have a brainstorming event related to the KORUS festival planning & other event possibilities.
Fiesta Asia volunteers - next month is APAHM (Asian Pacific American Heritage Month) and one very active set of events is Fiesta Asia, run by the Asia Heritage Foundation. You can help out by volunteering - here is the link for more details: http://asiaheritagefoundation.org/participate/volunteer/
Enjoy your weekend!
