Announcing a new Meetup for Fun Korean Culture, Language, Music & Food (& ESL) DC VA MD!

What: Korean Film: Dream (Bi-mong), Friday, April 23,[masked]:00 PM (no cost)

Directed by Kim Ki-duk.

Chinese philosopher Zhuangzi (circa 369 BCE?circa 286 BCE) once dreamed he was a butterfly. When he woke up, Zhuangzi famously posed the question of whether he was dreaming of the butterfly?or if the butterfly was dreaming of him. Korean cinema?s resident provocateur Kim Ki-duk (3-Iron; The Isle) creates a contemporary variation:

Jin wakes up from a dream in which he causes a traffic accident, to find that this accident really took place. The police suspect a woman, Ran, though she denies any involvement as she was asleep the whole time. Jin and Ran determine that while Jin dreams, Ran acts out those dreams in her sleep.
