Kundalini Kriya Yoga is the heart and soul of all yoga and meditation practices. It is rightly called "the lightning path to self realization." This is the same Kriya Yoga mentioned in the famous book, "Autobiography of a Yogi." The main practice is pranayama, or life-force control. By focusing and breathing into the central channel of the spine, the body-mind purifies itself and you continually feel more free-spirited.
In this workshop you will initiated by a Hamsacharya (teacher) into Kriya Yoga, learn the spiritual ancestry and science, and learn and practice the techniques.
The science of Kriya Yoga is a powerful electrical process, so there is a great need for an electrical transformer, the Guru. The initiation creates a connection between you and the Guru so energy can be safely facilitated while you practice. There is no commitment by taking initiation.
The basic Kundalini Kriya Yoga consists of five techniques. These techniques are:
1. Omkar Kriya: The birthing 'Hum' of creation introduces one to the divine
2. Shiva Shakti Kriya: This yoga is the Kundalini Energy in motion, or pranayama,
and is the core of Kriya Yoga.
3. Mahamudra: The purpose is to open the flow of life energy in the spine by
realignment. Integration of the physical, emotional and mental
bodies is achieved by specific postures, pranic breathing, and light
4. Khechari Mudra: A rejuvenating technique which arrests the aging process.
5. Paravasta: The "after poise" of the practice, the state of being in the present
You will receive a booklet with the techniques explained in detail, and also an informational booklet that talks about traditional spirituality, the guru-disciple relationship, and how to further your spiritual evolution. In addition, you will receive a Kundalini Kriya Yoga completion certificate.
Kindly RSVP if you plan on coming to the workshop. Please wear comfortable clothing, and bring an asan (meditation seat - wool blanket is fine) and water bottle. Some food will be provided.
Thank you and hope to see you there!
About Hamsacharya Brian:
'Ello mates! This is my last year studying business management at PSU. I love nature, good people and good food. I have been practicing Kriya Yoga for almost three years, and can't fully describe how much I've benefited. I used to be diagnosed with attention deficit disorder (ADD), but after practicing Kriya Yoga for a couple months I didn't need medication anymore. My focus improved dramatically, as my school transcript proves. My physical and spiritual health is also incomparable to what it used to be. I am blessed to be a Hamsacharya (Kriya Yoga teacher), with the hope that many others will learn this sacred practice and experience the peace of mind and spiritual satisfaction associated with it.
