In this line of work it is most favorable to have a good network of people. Since many of our members work in the biz, this is a good opportunity to meet one another, make new friends, and perhaps make new contacts.
This event is geared for those of us who work primarily in film and television. If you're above the line, below the line, production, post-production, camera, sound, hair/makeup, wardrobe, props, g&e, marketing, a production assistant, or anywhere in between, this is for you.
Actors are welcome however, let's avoid passing out head shots. 
Everyone else.... When in doubt, contact the event host before you rsvp.
Attendance is being enforced for this event. Flaking (no-shows and last minute cancellations) and crashing may result in exclusion from future events. Industry people only.

Thanks to everyone who came out last night and making the best with the venue situation. It was great meeting all of the new faces. We have events in the pipeline, be on the lookout for those and be sure to join us in the future, even though they won't necessarily be industry-centered events. See you soon!

Ladies and Gentlemen, this event appears to be shaping up really well and I am looking forward to meeting everyone this Saturday. Just one item while we still have time to clarify things.... When you rsvp for this event, it asks a question about your role in the industry. At this point only half the people who rsvp'd answered that question, and if that's you great, just ignore this comment.
Everyone who didn't, please update your rsvp to give us an idea of your presence in the biz (update your rsvp on the web/full version of meetup and not on the app). Anyone not in the biz will be taken off the rsvps.
