History of Los Angeles Group Message Board › More great Bunker Hill footage and documentary
I've received some very enthusiastic feedback about the link to the YouTube clip I shared showing some very rare film of Bunker Hill:
To those who would like to see more (a lot more!) in-depth film of Bunker Hill, I can't recommend to highly Kent Mackenzie's amazing 1961 film, The Exiles. It's a film about young Native Americans living in Bunker Hill. No soundstage, it's filmed entirely on location on Bunker Hill and the downtown streets below. The film itself is fantastic. It comes as a 2 disc set and it is virtually a pirate's booty of several, little seen documentaries filmed on Bunker Hill before it was demolished. The best one is a USC produced documentary that is sort of a day in the life. So if you rent, buy, or put it in your Netflix queue, be sure you get the 2 disc set to see all the extras.
Best to all
