Mobile Wood Fired Oven Bake at the Altadena Farmers Market

This is a second LA Bread Bakers event.   The first, also listed here at the meetup, is how to make bread, and this is an opportunity to bake your bread.

I attended the community bake a couple weeks ago at Grist and Toll and am ready to cultivate both my inner baker and builder.

One of Pasadena Learning Gardens goals this year is to create a community bread oven so come check this out.  Also if you want to be part of the build team, come and chat with me at 6 p.m.  And I hope to get the Artist / builder of the oven to speak for a few minutes on his design philosophy as I think it is how we want to approach increasing our local productivity.

Let the baking begin!

MOMO - Michael O’Malley’s Mobile Oven will be fired up at the market accepting your loaves ready to bake for free!

Grist & Toll - An Urban Flour Mill will be onsite selling freshly ground flour

What a great day. About 60 people brought loaves of bread to cook and this amazing mobile bread oven led to people meeting, sharing ideas, cooking bread, and seeing that we can reclaim the production of our food...

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
