Great introduction to challenges with SQL only scaling issues. Would have liked more time spent on NoSQL with real world examples. I would definitely attend a "part 2" for this topic.

This meetup was my first at LA MySQL meetup. It was awesome. Venu went from 10,000 feet overview of SQL vs NoSQL and then delved right into NoSQL and shared with us when to use which NoSQL solution. It was a drive for me on a Tuesday night to get to the meetup but it was worth it.

Venu delivered a well thought talk giving a substantial overview of the existing SQL and NoSQL technologies as well as some practical considerations on their use based on his own vast experience working with the major tech companies in Silicon Valley.
