The Bridges of Paris

Walking against the flow of the Seine towards the historical centre of Paris, this romantic route offers spectacular vistas from the bridges .

The name of the River Seine originates from the Roman  word Sequana , meaning serpent

In the golden glow of sun , the river mirrors light emanating from the magnificent riverside monuments reflecting the change in atmosphere

We will start from bridge Alexandre III  and we will end at le Pont des Arts

.( metro odeon )

I ll explain  you history of bridges and how the sinuous Seine is pulsing artery , carrying the lifeblood from which Paris has been nurtured over 2,000 years.

It should be mandatory for everyone interested in Paris and its history to go on one of Edith's walks.

Today we walked 6 of Paris 37 bridges. The "show" was presented with interesting facts and anecdotes by Edith, energetic, knowledgeable and entertaining as usual. Her presentation inspired me and many of us to further studies of the 31 remaining bridges. A GREAT Paris walk in Spring sunshine (and a few drops of rain). Bravo and thank you!

Hi Edith, thanks for organizing this. I suggest to explicitly say that there is a fee of 10 euros as the post does not mention that (unless I missed it).

Is there a fee for the visit of bridges, outdoors?:)
I'm not sure whether i can make it or not, but is the 10euros fee for this event?
