By far, this is my favorite hiking place in LA. Not too far from home and reasonable 3-4 miles hike with one of the best view of Santa Monica, Malibu and downtown LA in a clear day.
Hope you can join in for a pleaseant hike and chat with your fellow Asian-American.
Important Note: There are two parking lots in this park: Outer parking lot and inner parking lot. Please drive all the way in. We are meeting at the end of the parking lot. Please buy the parking voucher for $7 and put it in the car.
This event is co-promoted in Asian Grupting.
Bring your hydration pack or water bottle and meet us at the end of the parking lot of Temescal Canyon State Park. Make sure you drive all the way to the end of the parking lot where you see the bathroom and camp store. We will meet at the sign across from the bathroom - picture below.
Parking is $7 per car. Try to carpool in if you can or bring some friends. Those who park in the lot should exercise caution passing through the intersection with the camera that issues tickets to drivers who do not come to a full stop.
Free parking south of Sunset, which is about a quarter mile south of the meeting place. You could save $7 for 6 minutes of walking. Also bring some extra money for lunch if you want to grab lunch and beer with us!
After the hike, we will head out to the Wurstkuche, where there is various hot dog and one of the best dark beer I taste in US. Hope you can join in.
