Description

Nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, Bailey Canyon offers stunning vistas away from the Los Angeles sprawl.  Trail maps provide easy access to ancient trails and insights to local flora and fauna.  From Bailey Canyon we will trek up Jones Peak, which is one of the lesser known trails in the range.  Be prepared for several climbs, including a race to the top.  Therein is the reward: a unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean on a clear day.

What to Bring

Parking & Meetup Spot

As if things weren't any better, parking is FREE :)  Simply park in the Bailey Canyon Wilderness parking lot.  If the lot is full overflow parking is available on Grove Street.  Conveniently, the parking lot will also serve as our meetup point.

    • Moses L.

I set a cap because that is the group size I envisioned. An extra person or two shouldn't be a big deal. ;)
