Thank you everyone for making history @ the picnic. Thx much to Lia for her leadership, Moses for being a great teacher w/ spontaneous attitude of the CTF and Olympic Games, Denis for your energy, and everyone else who participated. This was the 1st time we had four different meetup groups cooperating and coming together for a Picnic, Sports, and Games to network and compete in friendly competitions. It was very exciting.

We had many first-timers to the picnic - we appreciate you too. Friendships were formed and there was some matchmaking biz going on too by the time sun started to set. Let's keep building on this momentum, network, and compete in future picnics. Look for the next one in 4-8 weeks time. Be safe out there and come early and stay late to help out next time.

is anyone else planning on driving by themselves? If so, I was thinking that we could park at the Puente Hills Mall and then one of us could drive in

Carpoolees to chip in $2-$6. Use the Meetup system to e-mail me by Friday late afternoon if you're interested or for more info...include your contact phone and best times to call. :)

We are D-5 days away from our 1st Picnic @ Schabarum Park in Rowland Heights. Thank you again to the members who have already RSVP + SIGN UP ON THE POTLUCK SHEET. You are Lia, Sandy, Gabe, Jul, Denish, Henry, Angela, Frank, John, Jon, George, Maggie, Alan W., and Moses. You are the ones that "ACTUALLY PAID ATTENTION & READ THE POSTING".

Where's the rest of you? C'mon . . this is our 5th picnic this year. You know the routine! If you planned to be there, let us know if you are bringing a dish or $15. We need to plan this . . people, and be respectful to the organizers/event hosts.

In the words of a loyal member, “It seems that getting people to sign up for the event isn't a problem, but getting them to read and choose a dish and actually enter some real info in the spreadsheet is another...what fun it must be as an organizer!” FYI . . it won’t be fun if we run out of food. This is a self-planned event, guys. If you sign-up for the potluck excel sheet later, are you not giving more work to the organizers/event hosts who may have to juggle some food around to fill in the gap and are just volunteers? Let's help us out and Sign up for the Potluck today @ https://docs.google.co...

A hint. I've never been to a potluck where we ran out of food. Usually you have the other problem. ;) And yes, the sign up sheet is a good idea.

  • Alan

For all the "+1", pls make sure he/she also brings a dish worth at least $10 or a donation of $15 is appreciated. PLS DO NOT BRING ANY LEFTOVER from your TH/FRI DINNER. We don't play that, thx.
