Seattle Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Doodle Romps Monthly Meetup

  • Jan 11, 2014 · 11:00 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Meetup begins at 11:00 AM in Magnuson Park, in the area behind the small dog enclosure. When entering through the main entrance, walk across the bridge and turn right. We often go down to the water after playing on the field--especially if it is a hot day. Due to other obligations (or just sleeping in), the 11:00 AM group may be quite small. Please don't despair--We generally have 18-35 dogs over the course of the next hour and a half--just not all at once. If you arrive a little late and we're not on the field, we're probably down by the water. To get there, go back past the bridge (don't cross it) and follow the trail for about 1/2 mile down to the water.

Hi Kelly, that would be great, and the weather is supposed to be mild for a few days. I tried your email and it keeps coming back undeliverable. Can you email me at [masked]

Hi, I have a 4mth old labradoodle I was going to bring to the romp but it was too wet and muddy for his first time. If anyone lives near Woodinville with a doodle and would like to walk sometime I need to get my puppy out more with other dogs! Please send me a note and would love to meet up. I am taking puppy classes but they don't allow us to let our dogs play :(

We love to play and we too live in Woodinville - Ollie knows Hank from Puppy Manners. Lets plan our own meet up:)

Jenn at 4 months you really should not go to a dog park. Consider the play dates that Puppy Manners has. Get not their list and once your puppy is over 6 months, parks are an option. Puppies are not vaccinated enough to have built up immunities they need for that kind of exposure. But mostly they can get into trouble with their social skills and get hurt. A few months of maturity is miles in a dog. Please email me for more details regarding puppy play dates.

We had to shave our Doodle for the 2nd time because he got too matted despite constant brushing. Does anyone have recommendations for maintaining the Doodle hair AND does anyone have a groomer recommendation? Thanks!

We use Tina - 4 Paws pet grooming in Woodinville - she's great w/doodles, mine and two other friends. [masked]

We didn't make the doodle romp....Hank is an Australian Labradoodle and his hair is LONG and fine...This is the comb/brush I use...He is 16 months old and I have not had to shave him...We live on the east side - and use a groomer in Woodinville:

Has anyone ever taken their dog to the K9 Fun Zone on Nickerson Street? I have been thinking about taking my 3 year old doodle there for some non-muddy fun but it would be more fun to have some other dogs join us. I noticed that they have an option to schedule breed/group meet-ups. This is something that I'd be interested in doing with other doodle owners this winter if anyone else wants to give it a try. http://k9funzoneseattle.com/additional-services.html

Yes - it's a big indoor space and they have some agility equipment. Not as good as outside (mine like to run) but it's an option
