I've done a LOT of speaking the last couple of years, and I'm tired of seeing the same old dudes everywhere I go! I know women with amazing communication skills, smart ideas, and powerful stories, and I want to help more of them get comfortable speaking up.
Feeling like I've helped my audience solve a problem or find their way. It's rewarding and humbling when someone tells you that your talk helped them.
Right before and right after my time on stage. For a couple hours before I speak, I'm anxious and a little bit nauseous. For a couple hours after, I'm embarrassed and exhausted. But the actual speaking can be pretty fun!
I help organization make sense of messy web content, get people collaborating on technical projects, structure and organize information, and generally work to ensure companies can communicate with their users effectively and honestly online.
I'm a content strategy consultant, the editor of A List Apart, an author, and a speaker.
