We are a group of friendly women of all ages, mostly in the Sierra Nevada Foothills area, inviting all women for activities and get-togethers during weekdays, and sometimes on weekends.
By joining our group you get to meet great, fun-loving women who may well become your new best friends. Our activities include luncheons, discussion groups, walks, hiking, health and fitness, nutrition, wine tastings, exercise, sports, day trips and social get-togethers. Any member of our group can suggest and post an event. If you like to laugh, have fun and talk, you will fit right in with this group!
We require that all members post a recent close-up photo of themselves. This is so we can recognize attendees at events where we car-pool, meet in public places, or open a member’s home for an event. If you don't know how to download a photo to the Meetup site, contact Mary Ellen for help.

Some of our events have a maximum sign-up number. Once that number is reached, the system will not accept additional registrations. People can, however, opt to put their names on a wait list. This way, if someone cannot make it due to a change of plans or an emergency, they can cancel and the spot will become available to the first person on the wait list.
This system works great, but sometimes people forget to cancel or they cancel too late. If that happens, people on the waiting list who would have love to attend the event won’t know that there is an opening. So in order to be fair to everyone, please note our cancellation policy:
Canceling attendance at an event with a waiting list and/or reservation must occur no less than 24 hours in advance to allow people on the list to be notified. If there is an emergency or an unforeseen circumstance, the event organizer must be contacted immediately. Failing to cancel 24 hours in advance or contacting the event organizer in case of an emergency results in a “No Show” entry in the event registration list. Three “No Shows” means the loss of event attendance privileges.
Occasionally an event may require cancellation sooner than 24 hours so please follow the instructions under the event.
Starting April 1, 2014 we will be collecting annual dues of $5. Dues for new members are required within 60 days of joining our group and annually. If you do not pay your dues you will be removed from the group. Dues help pay meetup.com for our site and for any extraneous expenses incurred by this group. Additionally, they pay for raffles, gifts, expenses, and required deposits. We do not offer refunds. Just click on Member Dues on the left side of the front page. With the exception of official event sponsors, no business solicitations or activities are allowed at any of our events. Anyone interested in becoming a group or event sponsor, please contact Mary Ellen.
(Organizers reserve the right to remove anyone from an event or the group who has a negative impact on the group or endangers the safety of our members).
