This meetup is for NOVICE female runners from South Brooklyn and SI, who are serious about becoming better runners as part of a supportive network of "fierce females".
This group is capped at 50 members because I want to focus on creating a core group, staying committed to fitness, each other, the Bay Ridge/SI community and participating in aspects of fitness that transcend that bi-weekly running meetup - which may include yoga, hiking, nutrition, events - and having a ton of fun.
I welcome ALL motivated ladies regardless of fitness level, but this isnota marathon training group. Staying true to keeping a supportive rhythm, I wouldhighly preferrunners who are comfortable not running too far ahead during a group session. To avoid this being an issue - if you are a seasoned marathon runner today, this is probably not the right group for you.
We'll meet locally at Shore Promenade (69th street entrance) for now, but we WILL discuss travel and races once we get a core group going!
