Hello! My name is Angela, (AJ). I found this book club while I was reading the Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin and it gave me the idea of joining a book club here in Nashville. I am a paralegal full-time and also plan to go to law school soon.
What are your favorite books to read?
I love to read a variety of literature. I just recently finished reading The Help by Kathryn Stockett and now I am reading the Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. I also enjoy reading books by James Patterson, John Grisham, and Janet Evanovich. I always am sure to check Oprah's book list and New York Times bestsellers. In addition, I enjoy reading non-fiction as well - reading material about my field, biographies, and other interesting topics. For instance, I am about to read Onward by Howard Shultz - a book about how Starbucks fought for its life without loosing its core structure that makes Starbucks what it is.
Why do you want to join this book club?
I like that this book club is geared towards women my age - in their 20's and 30's - and since the members are around my age, I feel like this would be a comfortable club for me to join. I recently graduated from Belmont University and many of my friends left town after college and I only have a few girlfriends remaining in town. I am looking to meet new girlfriends that share the same interests as myself - reading, wine, and socializing! I think this would be a great opportunity to meet some new people in town while discussing books that we all would like to read.
Who are your favorite authors?
My favorite authors vary. However, I have always enjoyed James Patterson and John Grisham.
Do you have husband/kids/pets?
I am a single woman with no kids, but I have two dogs - german shepherd mix and a blue heeler.
