Join us at Eventup headquarters in Santa Monica for a day of hacking on Django projects! This is a great opportunity to team up with your fellow Djangonauts and work on a new project, or finish one you've already started.
If you're interested in teaming up to work on something, please comment on this event and let everyone know what cool stuff you'll be working on.
At around 5PM we'll break for lightning talks, to give folks the opportunity to show off their projects!
The event runs from 10AM-6PM, and lunch will be provided. Afterwards, we'll head over to West 4th and Jane for social hour.
Parking:
Street and garage parking are available in the vicinity of Eventup.
About Eventup:
Eventup is a timesaving resource that helps consumers and event planners find and book unique venues that would otherwise be difficult to find, while also providing property owners the opportunity to generate revenue on vacant and unused properties. Its extensive directory of more than 5,000 commercial and residential venues ranges from swanky Malibu beach homes and celebrity mansions, to small clubs and large banquet halls.
Eventup is the first online resource of its kind to manage the booking process by identifying venues that meet particular space, time and budget requirements, while offering a $1 million guarantee. Services are free for customers and are used for booking one-of-a-kind venues for events ranging from corporate events to photo shoots and private parties to weddings.
I got the repo from my LA Django refactoring talk cleaned up and posted to github: https://github.com/brianriley/he...![]()
There's one extra step in here that I didn't have when I originally did the talk. I'm down to do the talk again for anyone interested.

Hello!
What is everyone working on tomorrow? I'd like help anyone that is currently working on something. Post up some github links!
March 1
I have a conflicting obligation from 10AM to 2:30PM on the same day, and it feels a bit selfish to be 1 of 30 attendees when this ends at 6PM. With that said, whoever takes my spot, have fun and kick some Rails ASS! :)
