No introduction yet
I was glad to see a mix of people from all backgrounds: hard-core Django/Python developers, hobbyists, part-time hackers, web designers, non-programmers just getting started, and even some PHP folk just interested in talking tech and sharing knowledge. I think it speaks well to the strength of Django to meet a diverse set of needs and as well to the community which continues its tradition of being open and accepting of the larger tech community IMO. It's also a great bonus to be able to gain some insights from how Django plays a central role for a company of the magnitude of Mahalo and I look forward to being able to have these interpersonal interactions with the Mahalo folks at future meetups. Future meetups will offer the opportunity for some longer duration presentations which is great for learning and for practicing public speaking for those who choose to present.
Hey Brian - I have a sweet client in WeHo looking for a solid Django guy. Let me know if you have any friends looking as I can 'hook it up' for the referral!! Looking forward to chatting in the near future (:
