  • As for the coffe roaster.... I can bring some Arduino fun stuff next time to hack a printer with and capture some data wirelessly. I don't think it will roast coffee yet, but it will turn the printer motor off and on and count revolutions with an encoder. So just think of the encoder as a temperature sensor or fan speed and the motor to be the heating element turning off and on. Then wireless communication will display the temp and fan speed information. Thoughts?

  • Hi Lance! Sorry, I guess my profile was worded poorly (fixed now). I'm not working for a company littlechef, but rather currently "working through" (i.e. learning) Chef and devops for small systems deployment and using a rather excellent python tool called littlechef that assists in bootstrapping servers for chef-solo and in deploying and running the recipes, while kind of hacking in some of the chef-server-only features (such as searching nodes, etc). https://github.com/tobami/littlechef
