Liberty Camp

 Liberty Camp

July 14 thru July 18, 2014

Come join us as we travel through time, 1215 A.D. to the Founding Fathers signing our U.S. Constitution.

Highlights to Experience:

   •   God's role in the creation of our beloved country.

   •   Visually travel thru time learning about the Story of the Magna Carta; King John Lackland (who by the way was the brother of Richard, The Lionhearted), first translation of Bible, first printing press and the stories that go with each of these.  We now are on the road from Tyranny  to  Liberty.

   •   You will be making butter as the colonists had to do, grinding corn to use for their bread and feed their animals, learning about the work the children had to do and play games the children played.

   •   In rebellion to the excessive taxes King George III levied on the colonists, you will dress as the patriots did in Indian costumes, go to the ship and toss ALL the tea into the sea.

   •   After signing the Declaration of Independence, you will create your own Pots and Pans Parade and proudly march to the tune pf It's A Grand Ole Flag!

   •   You will feel what Gen. Washington's men felt as they marched across the Delaware River in their bare feet because our young country had no money to buy them shoes.

   •   You will sign your very own constitution.

   •   We will be visited thru out the week by King George III, Squanto, Sybil Ludington and possibly others who will drop in. On the last day we will be visited by  George and Martha Washington, Betsy Ross, Lady Liberty, George Whitfield, Frederick Douglas and maybe more.  You are to invite your family and friends to come share in a pot luck lunch following the graduation ceremony.

Come  you will have fun.

We completed our Constitution Classes last evening. Anyone who did not attend the classes will have the opportunity again in a few months. The Constitution our Founding Fathers put together following the Revolutionary War was the result of many hours of discussion and hard work. Much was based on Bible values.

If you love our nation, and if you want to pass on a heritage of the freedom our founders fought for, you will want to know the history, the reasons those who fought to end the tyranny the people fought for liberty and thus begin a nation of values: "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" (property). Our God given values! You don't want to miss the opportunity to come out to this class and join in the discussions.

Government has gotten too big for its britches! That is tyranny in the making.

How can we regain our original values? By the end of the 12th lesson you will have a good idea.

    Learn the value of truth!

So watch for the dates to be announced.

The Liberty Camp is a FREE camp for children ages 8-14, we will take younger children if a parent will stay to help with them. We don't teach them the Constitution, we teach them about the founding of America and early American History. The Constitution course we offer is on the Constitution of the United States of America that was signed after the 2nd Continental Congress was held. This class is for adults.

The children have so much fun that the ones who attended last year wanted it to last longer. One grandmother commented that her grandchildren had so much fun she wished she could have attended. The dates for the camp are July 14-18. Sign up NOW as the camp is filling up quickly. E-mail me [masked] to sign-up.
