Hello everyone.

A few of you have come to participate in our weekly Toastmasters meeting in Lafayette on Tuesday evenings. A couple of you have even joined and we're happy to have you in the club. But others have joined this meetup and emailed me wondering if it's a real event. Yes, it is.

We set up this meetup because it's an easy way to open our club up to the young tech-savvy people who use meetup.com. But our existing membership (37 people currently) is not administered on this website. We operate our regular club business on a separate platform. As such, this meetup profile probably appears a bit dormant.

I just wanted to write you all a quick email to assure you that our club is alive and well, and continues to meet every Tuesday evening. You are all welcome to attend as a guest whenever you like. If you like our club (we have terrific members), you're welcome to join as well.

We will meet tomorrow evening. If you'd like to drop by, please do so. New members are always welcome and it would be nice to meet our "meetup members".
