Spring has sprung and once again it is time for "Ask An Atheist" at Lancaster Central Market! . It's a great way to introduce ourselves to the community, educate people about atheism, and advertise our organization to other area freethinkers. Our previous Ask An Atheist days were very successful and we hope to build on that. This event will run from 10am to 2pm.
We will be set up right off of the square formed by the intersection of King and Queen streets near the upper entrance to Lancaster Central Market.

To understand how this event works and to see the rules we will be following please look at this post. If you have a hard time keeping your temper in check then you might want to sit this one out. Cool, calm, and collected is the phrase of the day. We will not be there to debate or convert. If that is what you are looking to do then please don't attend this event. Our purpose is to dispel myths and misconceptions and to stress the importance of secular government and how it protects religion as much as it does government. We want believers to understand that "secular" means neutral in respect to religion and not atheist. Please be sure you can make it before RSVPing. All are welcome to drop by but I need a minimum amount of three participants to satisfy event safety rules. Even if you can't stay the entire three hours I'd like to arrange it so there are two people at the booth at all times in case one needs a bathroom break or wants to get something to eat or drink. If you RSVP yes please make sure you indicate how sure you are that you will be able to attend this event. If there are less than three people with a solid yes the event will not take place. Please bring your own folding chair or chair-in-a-bag. Since this event will be outside please dress appropriately. Parking ($2/hr) is available in the two lots boarding market st. and at meters in the surrounding area. There are bathrooms on site and food and drink available in the market.
