Raw Conversion | Assignment: Go Into the Light

Presenter: Lon Farenwald

The RAW file format used by digital cameras is essentially the raw data that a camera captures when it takes a photo. RAW files allow the digital photographer to edit and manipulate their photos with less data loss than in other file formats.

In this presentation, we'll demonstrate how to work with the RAW files to produce the best possible image quality. The presenter will describe step by step how to utilize one of the most commonly used RAW converters, Adobe Camera Raw, to pull out all of your imagery's potential.

I am in immediate need of a wide angle lens for Canon. I'd prefer to borrow one (for weekend family group photo op). I am willing to give you my first born as a deposit. If you are looking to sell one, maybe we can work a deal. I will be there tonight (3/6). Look for me - I'll have "Hi, my name is Paul" on my name tag :)

For those of you who are still resisting authority and staying up later than common sense would tell them to...I'll be hitting the Alley Kat in Lancaster for their Thursday night open mic after the meetup. Feel free to come out and enjoy some great music and perhaps an adult beverage or 3. You won't hate yourself until the morning. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Open-Mic-at-the-Alley-Kat/343324009118889 Bring the cameras and practice your indoor/lowish light photography!
