I really like the focus on the speed limit sign on the right.

Thanks. I was happy that it showed up. With the light trails, it looks as though cars are speeding along with no regard for the 40 mph posting.

No way! I was setup in the same spot earlier this week. I was bummed that all of the lights weren't on(maybe it was too early in the night?) I think having all the street lights on would really add more to this photo. Even with only some of the lights on yours came out much better than mine...Good job!

Thanks, Adam. I, too, was bummed about the lights being out. I was there until 9:15 and it definitely was dark by that time. This image is a composite of 3 images. There just weren't enough cars, so I decided to try the Harold Ross technique of stacking the files, and applying the Lighten Blend mode to the upper layers. The only thing that showed through to the upper layer from the 2 lower layers were the light trails, so it appears as though there was much more traffic than there really was.

I never would have thought of using multiple images. Very nice.

Still a winner. I hope it gets submitted for the 2013 book.
