Join us for an afternoon Cafe con Leche, Spanish conversation and Pan de Bono! All are welcome even if you don't speak spanish!
So apparently the Colombians of South America have had, in their possession, a top-secret recipe they have perfected over the years to an AMAZING baked good:
El "Pan de Bono"
I have no idea what's in it outside of cheese & butter. Nor do I have an idea as to the origin of it's name. Perhaps Bono of U2 blessed the Colombian people with a homemade recipe during a visit, who knows.
They also serve Bunuelos, Arepas, Tres leches, colombian empanadas, other colombian baked goods and lunches! Bandeja Paisas and Chorizos colombianos also sold there for those eating lunch with us! Baked goods run at about $1+ each and lunches start at $5!
Colombian Bakery right on the corner in Brooklyn, Sunset Park neighborhood, a few blocks from the R train. The train stop is 45th Street station in Brooklyn. You can take the D or N (downtown direction) to 36th street station in Brooklyn and transfer on same platform to R train one stop (get off at 45th street station). It'll just be $1 for our meetup fee for the event. Bring friends!
Nos vemos pronto! See ya soon!
Also, Please be mindful of people wanting a space to attend the event. If you RSVP yes, make sure to come! we have a 3 strike system for members that are "no shows"- people that RSVP yes and do not come.
