OMG! The Meetup is in two days! Okay so here is the idea, let's meet at the parking lot by the Brenke Fish Ladder (same as the treasure hunt. Turner and E. Grand River) and let's catch some golden hour light on the fall trees in the park, along the river, and in Old Town. As the sun goes down we might get lucky and catch some sunset. As the street lights come on the fall leaves backlit by the lamps is pretty dramatic. You get to learn about white balance too. I will show you custom white balance setup.
But... It's October... and this is Michigan... And the chance of rain is sitting around 50%. Now it's been 50% tonight as well and there has been hardly any rain. So....
OPTION B (RAIN)
Meet at the classroom (708 E. Grand River in the Devon Storage Admin Building) if you are not sure where this is, where to park, or access codes for the lot/front door, email me. [masked]
For a rain night, let's look at some photos and do some informal critiques, comments and learning. You have the option of bringing in the "Oh Great" shots and we will pat you on the back and stroke your ego. OR you can bring in a "Oh GOD!" shot that you have been struggling with and get some supportive help from your colleagues. Your choice. No more than THREE photos per person though. Want time for everyone. Throw them on a USB drive or email them to me before class. Be sure they are small. Around 1024x768 or so if you are mailing them.
Sorry for the last minute notice on this. Hope a lot of you can make it. It's going to be good whichever we end of with.
Don't forget there is a Basics Workshop this Saturday.
