It’s time for our THIRD annual Mystery Box meetup. This has been a really fun winter evening event. Have you ever watched the show on the Food Channel called “Chopped?” Well this is the photo version of that. (Only nobody gets "chopped"!)
You will be handed a box of "stuff" including a light source. You and your group will be given 15-20 minutes to create your best shot. You have to use all of the contents. We will work in groups of two or three people. There will be several boxes so you will have a variety of boxes to create with.
We’ve done this the last two years and had a BLAST! Look at the photo galleries link below to get some inspirations.
I would appreciate help in putting together boxes. We need 5 to 8 small and interesting items and a light source. Preferably with some kind of theme. Please let me know if you are willing to do this. Building a box is a fun creative exercise! Tip: the box itself can be an element. The light source can be a small lamp, flashlight, fluorescent, LED or ??? source.
A tripod can be useful since lighting levels are low.
SmarterPics will provide tables and reflectors.
