Composition - Seeing the shot

Was trying to highlight the contrast between bright yellow and the dark river - it is simple but not really what I was hoping it might be.

    Maybe just cropping out the lower section and just leave the one right angle pipe might help. Good illustration though. I like it.

    I love the colors/color contrast and sharpness. I would prefer the vertical pipe to be absolutely parallel to the left edge of the frame.

    Neil, I took the liberty of playing with this image in Photoshop, and I agree with Franklin on making the pipe vertical. On the other hand I think that cropping out the bottom rail diminished the overall impact (sorry, Mark ;)
