Re: [turbo-networkers] Please Help Deidre Save Her Dog By Signing Her Petition

Here's the letter blown up a little bit.  I hope this helps.

Steve - the petition wasn't attached.  Would it be okay if I post Deidra's letter on the social networks and tell people to contact you to sign the petition?  Or is it on-line somewhere?

As a long-time animal owner who has trained horses, dogs, and cats, I feel this situation is totally wrong!  The dog wasn't at fault.  That child was trespassing in Deidre's yard.  It is unfortunate that Deidre's dog's life is now in jeopardy because this child is not taking responsibility for his actions.

As a parent of 11 and 9-year-old boys, I know they will do things they should not do.  However, if they were to do something like this child, I would tell them that they should not have entered this yard and it was their fault the dog accidentally scratched them with his tooth.  It IS NOT the dog's fault.  I also truly believe as a parent, it is my responsibility to teach my children how to behave around unfamiliar animals and what to do so they will not get hurt.  I have to take responsibility for my children.

As I mentioned before, I have worked with and trained horses, dogs, and cats (yes, cats are trainable).  Things happen, even with the most docile animals.  It is our responsibility to make sure we and the animals do not get hurt.

Subject: [turbo-networkers] Please Help Deidre Save Her Dog By Signing Her Petition

Fellow Turbo Members, Deidre needs our help!
Please see Deidre's petition to save her dog below:
Please print this petition, sign and date it and then fax to me at:[masked]-1562.  Let's show that there is strength in numbers and help Deidre save her dog.  Deidre needs just 50 signatures, so let's see if we can get all 50 from our Turbo Group alone.  I will announce on Monday how many signatures our group was able to get for Deidre.

Thank you Turbo Group, I know we can do this!
