Ryan Weaver presents Composer!

We are happy to announce a unique series of PHP talks...

We are flying in Ryan Weaver from Nashville, TN and wanted to have as much of his brilliant mind as possible, so we'll have 3 consecutive days sessions in a row on Nov 19th, 20th and 21st. Big thanks to Coloft and Coloft Academy for being able to accommodate us.

In the first of a three part talk/workshop series, Ryan will present Composer.

7:00PM Meet, Greet & Eat

7:30PM Main Presentation

Followed by Q&A

Finding, downloading and using third-party libraries in your PHP project has always been a painful process. So painful that sometimes, re-inventing the wheel feels easier than wrestling someone else's code! Enter Composer: PHP's package manager that makes including third-party libraries fun again.

If you haven't heard of Composer or really haven't had time to play with it yet, now is your chance! This talk will focus on how to use Composer immediately in any PHP project to easily leverage outside libraries that can solve your problems faster. We'll talk about how to find libraries, install them, and even report and fix issues if you find a bug. If you're not using Composer, this talk will change the way you approach problems.

Ryan Weaver is the documentation lead for the Symfony Framework, trainer and consultant at KnpLabs US, writer for and an avid supporter of open source as a tool to solve serious business problems. Ryan likes to present topics in a narrative way - building real applications and telling a story as you learn and develop. He's a published author, speaker and, most importantly, the husband of the wonderful Leanna Pelham.

We are flying in the speaker for these events from Nashville, so will be charging a small fee to cover our costs. One day event pass for this talk is $15 pre-register or $25 at the door. Or get a pass for all 3-day series for $35.

We offer a full refund for all cancellations made at least 2 days prior to the event. There will be no refund for no shows and cancellations within less than 48 hours of the event.

Starving student? Cannot afford $15? We need 2-3 volunteers for each event to help with setting up tables and moving them back after the event.

For volunteer and 3-day pass tickets, please go here:

The space is extremely limited, so hurry up!
