LA Ruby / Ruby on Rails Monthly Meetup

  • October 10, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

RSVPs are CLOSED due to the fact that Disney Interactive Security will not let people in who are not on the RSVP list, and we've already sent them the list.

This month's meetup will be held at Disney Interactive in Glendale, in Room 1050, "The Vault". Disney Interactive is also sponsoring food.

PLEASE NOTE: Disney security will only let you in if you RSVP and provide both a first and last name. If only your first name (or first name and last initial) shows on Meetup, please send your full name to Alf through the Meetup site to ensure there won't be any problems.

How to find us

Tell security you're here for LA Ruby. Note that you need to RSVP by 12:00 on Thursday to get in.

Security should be able to direct you to room 1050, "The Vault".

Thanks for listening everybody! I really appreciate the opportunity to share my thoughts with my peers. If you didn't catch the link to my presentation, it's here: http://m.pivotal.la/19mhKc5

I'll update the slide notes over the weekend to include the oral component of the talk.

I'd like to do another talk where I present the development process my team and I have adopted in building the Aviator Gem (http://aviator.github.io/www) BUT only for the purposes of setting a reference for discussion. With each step in the process, I want to open up the floor for discussion among the audience about how they did it with their team and what are the pros and cons. This is essentially for my own education but I believe it will also be educational for everyone else in the room.

Going to have to back out on this one. This week has been hectic and I was not able to prepare anything. Might not make it tomorrow either.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
