Ruby self-study groups

  • Apr 24, 2014 · 6:00 PM

Studying alone is never as much fun as group study - and it is always nice to have other people to bounce ideas off of. So two LA Ruby women are running group study sessions - one on the east side (in Glendale) and one on the west side (in Santa Monica). The groups started after a recent RailsBridge event so will have lots of women helping each other learn Ruby and Rails - but men who also want to learn Ruby and Rails are welcome to join us.

For exact locations and to let us know you are coming, please RSVP on the LA Women's Ruby on Rails Group meetup page:

hi there... YES THEY DO! Here's a more active link to capture the energy of the group: Lately I've been working to create a curriculum and so have been a bit distracted. But please join us.
    They do happen. Thanks!

Do these west side meet ups happen on Thursdays nights? I've been watching for the past month, unable to attend, but I never see anyone beside the hosts signed up.... Also, I'm a dude and it says in the description that these are for ladies... So what's the deal with this west side self-study group?

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
