Hack Night Agenda
6:00-6:30 PM - One-on-one help
This is the time to come ask questions, squash a bug or get Ruby setup on your machine. Bring your code, ask questions and help others troubleshoot problems. If you're an experienced ruby developer, this is a great time to give back.
6:30-9ish - Three options
1) Build a rails app (beginners) - Gabe Evans will build a basic rails (blogging) app without scaffolding. The goal of this sessions is to connect the dots for beginners between the models, controllers, views and routes.
2) Group project (advance) - Alex Peachey will continue leading the development of our group app topics.lvrug.org. This is a great opportunity to gain insight into the process of building an application, share tips and opinions on the best practices of application development.
3) Do your own thing (loner) - We've seen members get the most value out of more structured meetups. However, one can always come and work on their own stuff.
