08 Dachshund Day 1!

Happy New Year!!!!!!!

Hi everyone,

I started the new year off with a foot surgery that has had me out of commission for awhile, sorry for my absence.

Looking back on all the events of the year makes you realize the big and small stuff, what seemed relevant at the time might have been minute in the whole picture of ones life. As the new year has begun, I hope everyone has set thier goals, not resolutions, but goals. Pursuing ones goal can only bring positive things to ones life, even if the goal is not achieved by the set date. Persistence and determination pays off when one can stay on course through all the obstacles that are thrown in ones path along the way. Be very grateful for your Dachsie, for they will never judge, ridicule, or discourage you in any way for any of your chosen endeavors, but only show you a limitless supply of love, affection and support. With that said, I sincerely hope that the best of 2007 becomes the worst for everyone in 2008.

I thank you all for the endless supply of love and the level of responsible pet ownership all the members have for thier Dachsies. The Las Vegas Dachshund Club belongs to all of you who care so much about our breed! It's been here since 2002 and will be here long after I am replaced as the acting organizer. All of you make me proud to be a Dachshund owner.

Our first meetup for 2008 will be at the sport complex! Hope to see everyone there!!!
