The Seldom Seen Poets is a free, all-ages, weekly open mic hosted by Hannah Marisahl and Kari O'Connor on Wednesday nights at 7pm at Sunrise Coffee Co., located at 3130 E. Sunset Rd.

We have the occasional feature, and welcome out-of-town and new readers to come down and have a cup of 100% organic, free-trade coffee made by baristas who love coffee as much as you do!

We support local art, culture, and business. We are a free speech zone where anything goes! Read your poems or short fiction, try out your new monologue or stand up routine, or even play us a song! We welcome performers of all kinds and styles.

    •  It might be fun to get some feedback on some of the readings from the audience. This is a delicate area, but if a reader wants it, give it to em! There were a couple of people at this meet up who have enormous talent and hopefully will get connected at some point. Overall, it was a nice evening and I enjoyed everyones work. Who was the lucky couple in the back of the Red Mazda in the parking lot when I left a little after nine? Steve
