I'm a writer, poet and spoken word artist. My first poetic verses began flowing when I was 10 but I didn't start sharing publicly until 2005. "Today I Have Words" is my first collection of printed poetry - self published. My 1st cd by the same nam
Yes, I do submit pieces from time to time to the group bulletins.
In terms of poetry, I am a spoken word artist first - "poet" second. That means I take 'poetic license' with grammatical phrasing and spelling (i.e., I'll drop a 'g' off 'ing' when the flow is feelin it). I'd like to be critiqued on how my work makes one feel - stimulates one to think. To be honest however, mostly what I've read is spelling and grammar corrections, so I'm not sure I have an answer for this question.
I have no rituals, but I am very particular about the pen(s) I use. If a pen doesn't feel right in my hand and the ink does flow to just the right consistency, I have to find a different one.
I will be traveling around the country sharing my work and promoting my book and cd and I would like to be able to make a modest living doing so.
Almost all my adult life.
If you're a poet, it's an opportunity to stretch. If you're not a poet, but take great pleasure in watching artists' shine at their craft, you'll truly enjoy TversusE @ Poetry
