What: Dodgers vs. Chicago Cubs @ Dodger Stadium and Dinner in Thai Town
When: August 22,[masked]:00 PM
1000 Elysian Park Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90012Please RSVP at LocalThaiFood Meetup.
Join me and fellow Dodger fans to root on our Big Blue Wrecking Crew as they pursue the National League pennant against their National League Central rival from the midwest, the Chicago Cubs and to eat some great food at Thai Palms in Hollywood after the game.
Baseball and Thai food is as old as pizza and beer. ;-) Come on out and see how this tradition continues!
For those of you that are interested during the game, I will also be able to teach you how to keep score of the game in your game programs as events happen on the field. This is a tradition that dates back to the late 1800s.
Also, remember to please learn what a beach ball is and its purpose at the ballpark during a baseball game and what "The Wave" is.
Depending on the interest for dinner and the number of participants, we will head off to Thai Town in Holllywood for some awesome Thai food. We can decide to hit Ruen Pair, Ord Noodles, or Thai Palms (depending on the interest).
* Ruen Pair is known for their Thai, spicy ground pork and rice porridge and is a great late night spot for some very good Thai food.
For Yelp reviews on Ruen Pair, go to http://www.yelp.com/b..
* Ord Noodles is well-known for Thai noodles and great, attentive service. From doing some research, the boat noodles and duck noodles are to die for.

* Thai Palms is a well-known for its relaxed atmosphere and great food. Not only that, you get entertainment from a well-known Elvis Presley impersonator. See you have another tradition, Elvis and great Thai food. Please RSVP at LocalThaiFood Meetup.
