Cosmos and dance floor etiquette - a cautionary tale

Dear Charlotte Salsa Maniacs,

Did you know that dancing can be dangerous? Well over the past few months, I have seen many people get injured while dancing at Cosmos. Someone stepped on their toe, or their heel, or their legs, or while doing some elaborate move, somebody gets hit in the head. One of my dance partners at Cosmos, Tesha, actually had to have stitches in her foot. Hey it wasn't me. I did not step on her, but another lady in heels did.

So as you are dancing the next few days especially, where the festive becomes adorned by Halloween costumes, be consider.. share the floor. As new yorkers will tell you, back in the day, if somebody stepped on your toe... the fight was on. More on dance floor etiquette to come.

See you at Cosmos,
