Community Calendar: 5th Annual NOLA Veggie Fest

Dear Friends,

I am still reeling from last Tuesday night's meeting.  There is something magical about this work!

As a result of our recent meeting, I will be planning a series of presentations, called Life Success Strategies, with other members of our group.  Each month, a different member of or group will lead the discussion, in order to generate a breakthrough in each topic discussed.  In May, we will hear from Steven Kahn, a very successful local business and community leader, on manifesting more money!  Details will be posted within the next week.

Also, as we follow our spiritual path, we often examine our relationship to other creatures and discover that we are all deeply connected to the earth and all her inhabitants.  Every rock, tree and animal seems to have its place in our ecosystem and all living creatures enjoy the same qualities of life that we do: happiness and freedom from fear, suffering and pain.

For those reasons and more, the Humane Society of Louisiana, the group I started 25 years ago and still work for, host an annual vegetarian festival, called the NOLA Veggie Fest, now in its 5th year!  If you are interested in exploring the benefits of a plant-based diet, if you are not already a vegan, I invite you to attend this fun-filled two-day event, which runs from Saturday, May 11th from 11 am to 6 pm. There will be an after party benefit at Cafe Istanbul (inside the Healing Center) from 7 pm to 1 am and another day of activities on Sunday, May 12 th from noon to 6 pm.

    Hi Jeff,

Sorry I've been out of touch. Things have been pretty crazy in my life. I've been busy manifesting some things, like my dream job (yes! the universe delivered on this one and it is a pretty interesting story of how I got there), a wrap around and screened-in porch (my husband surprised me with this one day - another interesting story!), and a king size bed (a spontaneous purchase - another interesting story about things just appearing out of the blue). I had no idea how any of these things were going to come into our lives, but I knew they had to and sure enough, the universe found a way to make them happen. There are other things that I have manifested that are pretty awesome, for example, getting together with friends more often and meeting new friends, and little things throughout each day. I am still waiting on a few other items, but I know they will come when the time is right.

I love the idea of a veggie fest! Thanks for posting!

    Talk soon,
    Demetra

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
