Harmony for Humanity
On February 14 - yes, on Valentine's Day, people around the world are rising up to demand an end to violence against women. This global event is called One Billion Rising, and you can play a role in it by adding your voice right here in Edmonton. What better way is there to show your love on V-Day?!
Initiated and inspired by Anna Beaumont, a group of Edmonton women are planning a "rising" to add our voices to those of people from all over Canada, the US, Europe, Brazil, Congo, Russia, Philippines, Kenya, India, Nepal, Guatemala and many more countries around the world.

As you scroll down the webpage, more and more information loads about events planned around the world. Celebrities, politicians, mayors, organizations and women and men who want to put an end to violence are getting involved.

Cost is by Donation: - All funds raised will go to the Hobbema Women's Shelter
