The Four Agreements: Don't Take Anything Personally (teens)

Don't take anything personally.

Hey everyone! It's time for the second of four agreements! I am very excited about this one. Not only is it my favorite one to discuss but it's something that if followed, could be life changing. As teens we have very sensitive feelings. Drama at school and with friends is at the highest, and we are still figuring out who we are. It's easy to say "Don't take it personal", but in my opinion, its the hardest agreement to incorporate in to your life.

Last year I studied the book The Four Agreements, and I had so many questions!. It is written by Don Miguel Ruiz, who has studied ancient Toltec teachings since the 70's. Basically there are four rules, or ways to live your life. This meeting we will talk about the second one "DON'T TAKE ANYTHING PERSONALLY". It would be cool if you could have the chapters read by the Meetup but it is not necessary. Below is a link to a site where you can read the chapters if you would like.

WHAT WE WILL TALK ABOUT:

  • How others say things that really are a reflection of them selves.
  • Why we think we are responsible for everything.
  • What is a MITOTE again?

I welcome any teen boy or girl ages 13-18. We will be meeting on the same nights as the adults, and so location won't be an issue. The parents have potluck so we will share with them for the first 30 minutes and then we will break off into our own space.
If you are coming with your parents, become a member and join our group and R.S.V.P. that you are coming!

Thanks
Nicole Larson

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
