HIKE CARATUNK WILDLIFE REFUGE

The trials weave through nearly 200 acres of fields, forests, and wetlands. Trails are open only to the following activities: hiking, bird watching, nature study, photography, ski touring, and snowshoeing.

I hiked this today with sneakers and an 8 year old.  Easy/Moderate trails, very little mud, a few bubbling brooks, lots of birds, and turtles, pretty flat.  Get off the couch and join me on Saturday for a 2 hour hike.

The link below will get you to a trail map to print out.

It turned out to be a great day to hike. Too bad that the trail by the pond was flooded out. I had fun, though.
