LeanCoffeeTO Episode 107 - Bringing Lean to Large Organizations

Hi Fellow Leanists,

This week we'll be taking a look at how the lean method can be implemented into large and more traditional companies.

Some of us work in these big orgs with others working as consultants and in agencies where introducing this way of thinking from the outside is part of our jobs. There's no doubt that the start-ups in the group have seen both sides of product development styles and can talk to it as well.

Last week's session had a great turn out.  This week RSVPs will be limited and +1s disabled; if your co-founder/friend/associate wants to come, they can join the group.  We want everyone to be part of community both offline and online.

Suggested Reading

Here's an article that talks about Trust vs. Control as being the big difference between startups and big companies. It's from a blog focused on the topic of lean in large organizations.

Hosting a LeanCoffee

As Mark Reale mentioned during last session, LeanCoffee is a community run Meetup, which means anyone can host an event.  Just suggest a time and place and if you build it they will come... even in Scarborough (based on historic evidence).

Always an eye opener. The frank open discussion is refreshing.

Ah too bad I won't be able to join. It's a very good topic, so I'm looking forward to the notes/highlights.
